COMMON QUESTIONS

Why is a waste assessment necessary?

The purpose of the waste and food waste assessments are to gather data. The data collected will help determine the types and quantity of waste generated so appropriate reduction strategies can be implemented. It is also an opportunity to identify issues, set benchmarks and improve on current practices. There are two options here; Changing Waste Patterns will provide you with the assessments and guidelines for you to undertake the assessments yourself and send the data to Changing Waste Patterns for analysis.

What size business do you service?

Small to medium size offices or hospitality businesses.

What is your servicing location?

South Eastern Melbourne and surrounds.

Reviews Background Image
“I have had the pleasure of working very closely with Kate as part of Village Zero for some time now. She has been an active member and passionate waste advocate who has been able to provide guidance on the strategic direction of the waste workstream for the group and to activate the community in a pursuit to build a circular economy in Sandringham. She draws on her first-hand experience of witnessing too much unnecessary waste go to landfill during her time in the hospitality industry and this knowledge fuels her passion. Kate is dedicated, considered and has a unique ability to wade through complex information to surface solutions that make sense. All the while, she has fun along the way!”

"Kate was a driving force in the development and implementation of a Sandringham Traders initiative to bring about positive change and strive to reduce single use packaging throughout Sandringham Village Retail Precinct run in 2023. The initiative was supported by the State Government of Victoria through the Department of Sustainability and showcased as a successful pilot supported by local business and local community. Without Kate’s drive and commitment, the pilot would not have been as successful as it was."
